Corny as it may be, the committee kept up the tradition of the awards presentation, giving whimsical certificates to honor our classmates' accomplishments.
Votes were cast that night, but most of the stats for the awards were taken from the information provided on the RSVPs. Honorable mention was given to classmates that provided info but weren't able to attend, and the runners-up for some of the awards were so close we had to ask for actual dates! For the awards for the children/grandchildren, no distinction was made between biological and step...after all, they're all our kids, right?!

Congratulations go out to:
MARIJO (JOHNSON) & GENE BARNES, winners of the "Passionate Kisses" Award for being the most recently married on April 29, 2001. Honorable mention: Dave & Chari Kufahl, married 7/7/02 (and still honeymooning!); Margie (Thompson) & Kevin Ionno, married 5/29/02; Dennis & Colette Kufahl, married 7/28/01.

JANE JEANNERO...winner of the "Early Bird" Award. Janey has been the first to RSVP for our reunions since the 10 year...she responds within a week after the invites are mailed out!

JIM BOELENS...winner of the "World Traveler" Award (for coming the farthest to attend our reunion) traveling over 2700 miles from Alaska! Runners-up were: Tom Moss, Montana; Jane (Keehl) Wright, Florida; Judy (Auw) Durham, Oklahoma; Sue VanSickle, Alabama; Sue (Petropoulos) Carr, North Carolina; Jayne (Lummen) Brosonski, New Jersey; Paul Nadeau, New York.
